StoryWalk®  Trail Coming To Rittman!

Plans are being finalized for a StoryWalk® Trail at Rittman’s William J. Robertson Nature Preserve. Organized as a cooperative effort of the Wayne County Public Library, the Rittman Recreation Department and Rittman BSA Scout Troop 405. This project is being planned and managed by Rittman High School Junior, Connor Butler as his Eagle Scout Service Project.

The trail itself will be along a ½ mile path with 20 signposts along the stretch. Each signpost will feature a page of a children's book encouraging kids to travel from sign to sign, reading a story as they progress along the walk. Inspiring kids to live a more active life outdoors and give them a love for reading. The book pages will be managed and maintained by the Wayne County Public Library.

How Can You Help?

To make this project possible and to cover the costs of materials and supplies, donation sponsorships are being taken for each of the 20 sign posts.

Each Sign Sponsorship will be a $230 donation and the contributing business, organization or individual will be recognized with a plaque on the base of the sign.
